OneDrop Privacy Policy

Effective date: 17 August 2026

OneDrop shares text and files between a user's own devices through the user's own OneDrive App Folder. OneDrop is provided without an application server or advertising service.

Information OneDrop accesses

When you sign in, OneDrop receives the Microsoft account identity information needed to identify your session and obtains delegated access to the OneDrive App Folder belonging to that account. OneDrop reads and writes message documents, attachment metadata, and attachment files that you create or choose to synchronize. It does not read unrelated OneDrive files.

How information is used

Account information is used only to authenticate you and select your OneDrive App Folder. Messages and attachments are used only to synchronize the conversations and files you request. OneDrop uses Microsoft Graph over HTTPS and does not sell, rent, broker, advertise against, or share your content with third parties. OneDrop does not use your content for analytics or model training.

Local storage and downloads

Edge storage, IndexedDB, Cache Storage, and browser download records may contain preferences, synchronization metadata, temporary previews, and identifiers for files you downloaded. These records support the extension and are kept on your device. OneDrop does not delete user-owned local files without an explicit action through the browser or the extension.

Your controls

You can sign out, revoke Microsoft consent in your Microsoft account settings, delete messages and attachments through OneDrop, and remove local extension data by removing the extension or clearing its site data. Revoking consent prevents future cloud access; existing files remain in your OneDrive until you delete them.

Service providers and security

Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Graph provide authentication and OneDrive access. No other service receives OneDrop message content or attachment content. Authentication tokens are handled by the browser and extension runtime and are not written into this repository or disclosed publicly.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when OneDrop's data practices or features change. The current version is published at this URL. For privacy questions, open an issue at github.com/zixu0779/OneDrop/issues.
